A scientific seminar on problems of the effective use of the project work methods to carry out interdisciplinary exercises by engineering and technical students will be held during January 28-29, 2002 in the University. The seminar will be held under the chairmanship of Dr. Bryan K. Temple and Dr. David S. Ross from Glasgow Caledonian University.
The number of the seminar participants is limited. Teachers and students, who fluently speak English, are invited to the seminar. Included in the programme will be the fulfillment of creative project works with their further presentation in the English language and discussion of results.
After the seminar comes to an end, all the participants will receive the TPU certificates.

First day:

Topics: Teaching through the use of group projects. The results of work on group projects. What students should gain from group projects. Learning patterns.
Hour 3

Topics: Introduction to a small group project
- Afternoon Hour 4
Audience: teaching staff and students
Topics: Students and teachers work on the group project guided by Dr. Bryan K. Temple and Dr. David S. Ross.
Second day:

- Afternoon Hours 1 and 2

Topics: Presentation of project work
- Hours 3
Audience: teaching staff and students
Topics: Discussion about the experience. The plusses and minuses of project work.
